While this isn't a masterpiece of filmmaking it does achieve what it sets out to do. To entertain you. And it does this quite good and sometimes it goes further than this by showing us some amazing set pieces and action sequences.

For example one car, tank chase sequence! This is achieved by the gigantic production value of the film. How does Charlize Theron Furiosa! How did Diesel and co. Cole Hauser is the main bad guy, and the movie ends with the destruction of a precious yacht is responsible for adding a few franchise cornerstones, as it introduces Roman and Tej into the mythology and gives them both enough background to coast through their long futures as comedic relief.

And this should go without saying, but Han and Gisele deserved better fates. They always will. This thing holds up. It helps that they were given some immortal dialogue.
